What will you make?
This is a creative and playful learning tool kit to help your child (or you!) to create a playful puzzle, configurate these woolly puzzle pieces in the way they wish. Through this experience, by using a combination of well known hand sewing stitches, a child learns to assemble together a creation of their imagination from an abstract, woolly sculpture, to a wearable item such as a scarf, perhaps a dolls blanket or a comfy snood? They can immerse themselves in this mindful, calming experience of stitching by hand, with no planned outcome, allowing the process to lead their creative learning journey.
3D and creative thinking as well as dexterity and hand eye coordination are all practiced through this open-ended learning activity.
These knitted swatches are made with 100% wool sourced from Scotland, knitted in Edinburgh on an elbow powered knitting machine. We use no plastic in our products or packaging, because we like that things that come from earth, can go back in there safely too!
Kit contains:
6 woollen knitted swatches approximately 15cm x 15cm each
1 wooden handmade needle
A guide manual
Practice stitch cards
Practice yarn
Chunky 100% wool for sewing and perhaps for some fringing too!
Hand wash only in luke warm water and mild detergent.
